Before I will show you more photos from Italy (it takes ages to decide which ones I like most), let's cook something Polish. You know I love potatoes, I could probably survive on a potato diet without any other damage then getting fat. Polish cuisine has plenty to offer when it comes to this humble veggie. So far I only presented to you Lazy dumplings, but it's just a start.

Sweet yeast rhubarb cake
The time runs so fast. I baked this cake a day after the trip to Honest2Goodness Market. I have tons ideas for posts I think I just need to find a machine that can type while I think... In meantime I finished reading "To Kill a Mockingbird" and started "The Paris Wife" recommended by Adrienne. … Continue reading Sweet yeast rhubarb cake
Butternut squash and feta tart
That were a few busy weeks. We hosted Tomek's brother and his wife. It meant a lot of sightseeing. I will post photos later on. We used this long weekend to rest and catch up with simple things like petting the cats, shopping, reading books and watching movies. We ate simple food - roasted chicken on … Continue reading Butternut squash and feta tart
Guinness bundt cake
I'm good at judging people. Usually I can tell if somebody is good or bad, usually I get it right. People say that Internet is a place created for cheaters, people who love to create themselves. Well I think I can judge people by their blogs as well. All bloggers I have meet so far … Continue reading Guinness bundt cake
Two banana breads
Do you feel sometimes like you need a break from your usual routine? I've stopped baking bread. I don't always have a lunch, I don't check all the newsletters I signed up to. I don't visit Twitter, I rarely read blogs I follow, almost don't leave comments. Instead I post too many cats photos to … Continue reading Two banana breads
Isaura – Polish cheesecake chocolate cake
I always wonder what should I talk with you about. The weather? The cats? Life philosophy? The cats are sleeping, the weather is awful and I wish I could follow this philosophy. Well I can, but I just don't know the answer to the question yet or maybe I'm just a little bit too scare to … Continue reading Isaura – Polish cheesecake chocolate cake
My favourite sourdough bread
As I promised in the previous post it's time to catch up with bread recipes. I started bread baking a few years back in Poland, probably there is something in my genes as both my parents worked in a bakery. I love the taste and smell of a freshly baked bread. At first, I baked with … Continue reading My favourite sourdough bread
Triple Ginger Cookies
Dear blog, I know I had been a bad blogger. I also know that I shouldn't say it at loud, because blogging is a serious business. But you are mine, so I can do what I want. But this time I have a good excuse, well even two. Ladies and gentlemen meet Mutu and Filo. These guys … Continue reading Triple Ginger Cookies
Mulled beer
There is so much going on right now, but on the other hand, nothing really changed. It is somewhere between autumn and winter, days are shorter, but the Christmas lights are on. It's dark and cold so I started to have more excuses to stay at home and eat something nice and comforting instead of … Continue reading Mulled beer
Polish lazy dumplings
Comfort food means something different for everybody. Once Ania from the blog Strawberries from Poland wrote that for her comfort food would be soft, melting dishes. It's something that you would eat when you are sick, that brings childhood memories. I need to agree with Ania. And by the way if you have a moment visit … Continue reading Polish lazy dumplings
